How do I get started with pet or home sitting in Smyrna, GA?
It’s easy! Call, email, or complete our online contact form to set up an initial conversation. We’ll schedule a free Meet and Greet in Smyrna, GA, where we’ll meet you, your pets, and review our forms.
Do I need to schedule a Meet and Greet?
Yes, every new client requires a Meet and Greet appointment so we can get to know you and your pets. The first meeting is free; additional visits are billed as Drop-In Visits.
How do I make a reservation for pet sitting or house sitting?
New Clients: Book at your Meet and Greet.
Existing Clients: Call, text, or email Meg to reserve services.
Once booked, you’ll receive an email or text confirmation, plus an invoice. Reservations are not confirmed until receipt of the Pet Care Service Agreement and required deposit.
Do you pet sit all dogs and cats?
We love caring for pets, but we cannot accept pets with a history of aggression or bites. Safety for pets, owners, and sitters always comes first. At Cozy Companions, we reserve the right to not accept any dog that is not a good fit for the dog or the pet sitter.
How do you set your pet sitting fees?
Our rates are based on the type and length of service, in accordance with our current Fee Schedule.
Do you require deposits or payment in advance?
Yes. A 50% deposit is due upon booking, with the balance due before services begin. Holiday bookings require full payment at booking.
What payment methods do you accept?
Cash, check, Venmo, or Zelle.
Are you insured and bonded?
Yes, Cozy Companions Pet and Home Care in Smyrna, GA is fully insured and bonded through Business Insurers of the Carolinas.

How do you access my home for services?
Clients complete a Key Handling Form with at least two access methods (keys, codes, locks). This ensures we can always care for your pets safely.
Do you offer pet sitting and house sitting during holidays?
Yes, we offer all services during holidays. However, holiday bookings require a 100% deposit and a 2-week cancellation notice. See our Holiday Policy for details.
What if there is a pet emergency?
We always attempt to reach you first, then your emergency contacts. If necessary, we will take your pet to your listed veterinarian or the closest available animal hospital.
Do you keep pets in your home?
No, all services are provided in your own home where pets feel most comfortable.
What are your business hours?
Our office hours are Monday–Friday, 9AM–5PM. We monitor calls for emergencies outside these hours, but non-emergency calls are returned during office hours.
Can I do every other day visits for my cat(s)?
If you have a kitty furry friend, we do require that we check on them at least once daily. More frequent visits ensure accidents don’t happen, and if they do, we take care of them as soon as possible.
Can you pet sit my dog and not my cat?
As your pet sitter, I have an ethical obligation to take the best care of all pets in your home if I’m going to be there. Therefore, I cannot just ignore your kitty friend if I am pet sitting for your dog.

We provide two hour windows based on your needs and your pets’ needs. As you can understand, even in Smyrna, with traffic and other pet visits, it is impossible to be exactly on the dot, so we provide two hour windows in which we will visit and love on your pets.
Can my friend/neighbor help care for the pets some days or bring in the mail?
While we are pet sitting, we ask that no one else enters the home to ensure your pet gets our excellent standard of care and your home is secure.
why should i have you stay with my pets in my home versus boarding them?
Pets are happier and experience less stress at home. Diet and exercise routines are uninterrupted. Travel trauma for both owner and pet is eliminated. Pet's exposure to illness is minimized.
why should i choose cozy home companions versus other pet sitters?
As for all the reasons listed above, we are pet CPR certified. We are Certified Professional Pet Sitters. We also keep our radius of vists on any given day small, so there’s less room for us to be late or miss a visit due to traffic, accidents and things out of our control.
can you pet sit all my pets for one flat fee?
Our pet sitting rates are based on 1-2 pets. There is a $5 for each additional pet. Cozy Companions reserves the right to refuse service where there are too many pets for our current sitters to properly care for at one time.
